A Texas A&M graduate was reunited with a treasured Aggie class ring after it was lost in the deep waters of Lake Travis. Robert Weiss and Lake Travis Scuba conducted a careful search dive and located the ring roughly 70 feet below the surface.
Recovering small objects in a large lake can be extremely difficult due to shifting sediments and low visibility conditions. Weiss relies on specialized search patterns and years of experience diving in Lake Travis.
The recovery was particularly meaningful because Aggie rings symbolize academic achievement and lifelong community. Returning the ring restored an important piece of personal history.
